When I say this is my favourite guacamole recipe I am not kidding. It never disappoints. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

To be honest though I can’t take full credit for the creative juices on creating this masterpiece. Alan Friesen, who spends his winters in Mexico, is the guac king and this is his recipe.

It is so good. It’s the perfect snack or appetizer. Everyone will like it and think you are a queen for making the best guac they have ever had.

Now I know everyone has a guac recipe on hand but try this one out and tell us what you think! We think you’ll be quite pleased.

Pictured here with tortilla chips but serve it with your favourite chip variety. It’s also delicious on top of chilli, tacos or included in a nice seven-layer dip. The options are quite honestly endless.

Crowd Favourite Guacamole Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados
- The juice of 1 lime
- ½ cup diced white onion
- 1 big garlic clove minced
- 1 diced roma tomato
- 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro*
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Mash avocados in a medium sized bowl.
- Chop all other ingredients and add everything to the bowl with the avocados.
- Mix everything together and place one of the avocado pits into the bowl and cover it with plastic wrap (this prevents browning).
- Set in the fridge for at least an hour (this helps the flavours develop) then enjoy with your favourite chips!
Notes
- *I’m sorry cilantro haters, this recipe really does need the cilantro. I accidentally made it without cilantro once and it was nowhere near as good.
